Change to the Front Cover

When trying to construct my magazine I found it difficult to be able to write on the snowy background. I have chosen to use this photo as part of my double page spread as I want my magazine too look as professional as possible. I am going to use the photos I took at my sister's modelling shoot during november. This also means I will change the original Christmas theme Idea too new year as I can be more board with this.

As proof that I took some of the photo here is the print screen on an email the photographer sent:

"Confirmation:
I confirm that the following photos were taken by Melissa Turner at a photo shoot for Toni & Guy by Rock It Up Photography on the 2nd November 2010. I give permission for the photos to be used for her media coursework.

Hair Colour changes

I decided to test out what colour hair I should have my model. This was an important aspect as it suggests attitude which is key in an R&B magazine. The first image is the original one. I am going to use the last image as the purple correlates well with her dress, I also made her lips slightly redder as it makes them stand out.

Photoshop logo

I edited my logo in photoshop. I made it have a grey spray across the logo and is transparent to go onto a logo.

his was my first attempt of adding my logo onto my magazine. I made sure she was in front of the logo as this was a common convention on R&B magazines. The logo however didn't show up very well.
This was my second attempt of adding the logo to my magazine. This time it was clearer to read, and stood out from the background which was important. I also changed her blue nail polish too red using the colour replacement tool on photoshop. The image however needs to be cut to a mid-shot as it isn't striking enough

Facebook voting for main cover

I chose to use facebook to ask my target audience which out the edited photos they most liked for my magazine cover. I got them to like the image or write yes on the one they liked. I chose to do this because my target audience use social networking alot and by doing this I am getting alot of peoples opinions.
